I am giving away two sealed boxes of Jamila Henna.
Henna is a plant and has been used to dye hair for thousands of years in Eygpt. I purchased this Henna from Mehandi over the summer. Henna is often used to strengthen hair to prevent breakage. It is great for making your hair shinier and smoother. Many have raved about its ability to elongate the curl in natural hair. It worked for me. However, if I stretch my curl anymore, I might not be a curly girl. I applied it for about three hours although some natural girls love to leave it in their hair for up to 12 hours. I must admit that the smell is a little pungent for me but others do not mind. If you want more information on henna, check out: http://www.hennaforhair.com.
To win the two boxes of henna, you have to do two things:
- become a follower and
- post a comment telling me what product you love and why.
As a product junkie, I am always on the lookout for the next best thing. The giveaway ends on October 20, 2011.
Wow! I'm very honored to be your first follower. I have recently started my transitioning journey too, so I need as much advice, tips, and info that I can find.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite products is Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue! It really defines my new growth and I love the smell. It does wonders for my twist outs too, so I've fallen in LOVE with it!
Hi nice blog just wondering if I could enter since I'm in Canada. But just in case I heart aloe vera gel it just makes my hair so shiny becasue it seals the cuticles
ReplyDelete@notyouraveragefemale: Welcome. Thanks for being the first follower. Stay strong on your journey.
ReplyDelete@naturallychelsea: Hi. Yes you can enter even though you live in Canada. No problemo.
Right now. Curls scuffle bc after putting in leave in it gives me lots of slip
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower #5 in the house :)
ReplyDeleteKoils by Nature Hydrating Shealoe Creamy Conditioner is one of my current favs because it is super moisturizing, has great slip and really puts some love into my curls.
Following!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite would most definitely have to be Jamaica black castor oil - its a little heavier than the other oils which is great for sealing during winter and it helps my hair stay nice and soft while strengthening it a bit too. I can't say enough good things!
I a following your blog.
ReplyDeleteI don't have favorite product. I am trying to find something to define my curls.

I would have to say coconut oil. It softens and adds sheen to my hair without making it greasy.
ReplyDeleteI love many of the Shea Moisture products. I also love the Kera Care naturals line.
ReplyDeleteHenna giveway?!? What, I came on the right day because I have only tried henna once and I think I am about to be a henna head.
ReplyDeleteI am somewhat of a product junkie myself and I have tried probably everything including the unimaginable but some staples I swear by for my 4b/4c textured hair is
1)Shampoo - Shea Moisture Moisture Retention shampoo, Clarifying Shampoo - Terressentials Organic Hair Mud Wash - Left Coast Lemon (http://www.terressentials.com),
2)Leave in conditioner - Kimmaytube Leavein Recipe (several vids on the YT),
3)Oils- Jamaican black castor oil to seal my ends and Vatika Oil for my scalp,
4)Butters - My own special shea/mango/horsetail butter mix whenever needed.
5) Styler - love upper management gel by Kiss My face for a medium non-crunchy hold or my flaxseed gel mixed with eco styler when i need more hold but don't want to lose my moisture. The shine you get from Flaxseed Gel is RIDIC!
Sorry for the long post but just had to share but a true product junkie can't narrow it down to just one favorite product :)
