The power of a pre-poo treatment

Lately, I have noticed more hair breakage when washing my hair. I am not terribly surprised because I have failed to apply any type of pre-poo treatment. As far as pre-poo treatments go, I prefer those that are based in oil. Pre-poo treatments are generally applied before shampoo or conditioner and left on the hair for approximately 10-20 minutes depending on time constraints. I generally like to heat up the oil. Then, I massage it into my scalp and down my strands. Finally, I cover my hair with a plastic cap or warm towel.

Most recently, I have been using jamaican black castor oil.  Previously, I have used Carol's Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir. I have also tried Burt's Bees Avocado Butter Pre-shampoo Hair Treatment. The Avocado Butter contains lot of oils and you don't need to heat it up. It melts like butter in your hair. I love jamaican black castor oil because it also promotes growth, which works well when you have breakage.

After applying a pre-poo treatment, you will notice greater manageability and less breakage. Just adding this process to your hair regimen can help you keep more hair on your head and out of your sink. Have you tried this tip before? Let me know your results.
