OMG! Postpartum porosity

My hair has suddenly become super frizzy and quickly absorbs water.  I tested my hair's porosity by dropping a few strands in a cup of water. Low and behold, the strands quickly sank to the bottom of the cup.  Thus, it is considered to be high porosity hair. Great.

My hair need more protein, apple cider vinegar and tlc since it was so neglected when I came home from the hospital with my little bundle of joy. I am debating whether I should just do a big chop. We'll see.

I need low maintenance mommy styles. Any suggestions?

Don't get it twisted

That's what I tell myself when I doubt my ability to style my hair in between Daniel's feedings and fits. Well, I managed to squeeze in a twist out style.  I styled my hair using products exclusively from Karen's Body Beautiful. I used bodacious shampoo bar (juicy version), luscious hair mask, and the hair nectar. The shampoo bar makes my curls plump up. After twenty minutes of deep conditioning, I detangled with a large tooth comb.  Oh, the postpartum hair shedding. When will it end?!! I am not fighting it. Finally, I ended with pumps from the divine smelling hair nectar. It smells yummy delicious in the fragrance pomegranate guava. Check out the products and pics below.

Bundle of Joy

I have kind of checked out because I just became a mom in July. My son Daniel was born and swept my heart away. Here is a shot of my pride and joy:

Now that he is finally sleeping longer at night, I don't need toothpicks to keep my eyes open and I can continue blogging about my natural journey.

Coming up next is a review of Uncle Funky's Daughter Thirsty Curls.
